The Sno-Go ski bike makes it easy for anyone to hit the slopes

Even if you’re not exactly a snow bunny, 2018 may have turned you into one by now. The new year brought lots of snow and cold weather to even the most unlikely of areas—there was snowfall in Florida, you guys! Wondering how to make the most of the weather? What about skiing? Hate to ski? That’s fine. What about using a ski bike instead?

The Sno-Go bike makes it possible for even the most uncoordinated to ski down the side of a mountain. It’s not exactly a new product but, like we said, 2018 brought out the snow lover in us all. This particular version first launched on Kickstarter in 2015, and it exceeded its goal of raising $32,000, thanks to the help of 102 generous backers.

Now, the Sno-Go Bike is available for purchase via the brand’s website, for $1,699.

In case you’re wondering how this thing works, it seems as though it’s the perfect mix of bike and skis— minus the necessary coordination to actually ski. According to Sno-Go’s Kickstarter page, “The familiar motions of mountain-bike riding are paired with snow skis designed for all types of snow conditions, creating an experience for riders of any skill level.”

And just look at what this thing can do.

Sno-Go’s version isn’t the only ski bike on the market, but no matter which version you choose, they’re all pretty cool, if you ask us. You can find them from brands such as Solstice Sports and Lenz Sports, and you can even find conversion kits that turn any regular bike into a ski bike—just in case you’re not looking to invest in this outdoor sport mobile.

You’ll have to double check whether or not the ski resort you’re traveling to allows ski bikes before breaking these out on the slopes, though. According to the FAQ page on the Sno-Go Kickstarter, most resorts allow these, but you should check in with your resort of choice just to be sure.

Ready to glide down a mountainside like it’s nothing?
