Starbucks is now selling a Christmas Tree Frappuccino

Hot chocolate and peppermint mocha, you’ve got some competition this holiday season, and it’s of the frozen variety. Starbucks announced the debut of its Christmas Tree Frappuccino, a limited-time holiday drink that will only be available until Dec. 11. (Translated: Make your Starbucks run, stat!)

The Peppermint Mocha Crème Frappuccino is dressed up in its best Christmas finery: a fluffy Matcha whipped cream “tree,” caramel drizzle garland, candied cranberry ornaments and a strawberry tree topper.

Just look at it dashing through the snow, ready to caffeinate holiday shoppers and do what it does best … pose for Instagram posts.

In the world of coffee, Starbucks’ custom Frappuccinos have become akin to one-hit wonders, quickly rising to fame and then vanishing. Starbucks gifted us with a mythical sweet-and-sour Unicorn Frappucino in the spring that we tried and likened to Sour Patch Kids candies. And then, in time for Halloween, a ghastly green, caramel apple-tasting Zombie Frappucino showed up, and, dare we say, quickly ghosted us.

Though the Christmas Tree Frappuccino just debuted today, it’s already popping up on Instagram. (Cue the “O’ Christmas Tree” lyrics).

Admittedly, we LOL’d at the comment on this photo that says it looks like it’s topped with guac and bacon bits.

Too cold to grip? Just drink it with a cozy koozie.

We also turned to Twitter to see the results of some early taste tests. One user concludes it’s “minty and tasty” though not quite as “festive looking” as some of the other specialty frapps.

Others are hoping for a fruitcake frap, but it’s not in the (Christmas) cards according to Starbucks’ social media.

Of course, if you’re the type that likes your holiday drinks warm, Starbucks has more traditional seasonal menu offerings right now, including a chestnut praline latte, caramel brulée latte, gingerbread latte, eggnog latte and peppermint hot chocolate.

Now, any bets on what kind of Starbucks Frappuccino will be marketed for St. Patrick’s Day?
