Starbucks Unveils Its First Iced Holiday Coffee Drink And It Sounds Delicious

Starbucks

In case you haven’t heard, Starbucks holiday drinks are back! All your favorites are available again, from Peppermint Mocha and Chestnut Praline to Caramel Brûlée. But did you know that for the first time in Starbucks history the coffee giant will be offering a cold holiday coffee drink?

Yes, it’s true—Starbucks will be offering a Spiced Sweet Cream Nariño 70 Cold Brew at locations across the United States and Canada starting later this month.

At first thought, an iced drink during the cold winter months does not sound enticing. But then again, if you think about navigating a crowded mall in a hot winter coat during the holiday season, a cold coffee might just do the trick when you’re sweaty and battling the shopping stampede.

Plus, this is no ordinary iced coffee. The Nariño and African coffee beans are brewed for 20 hours before they hit your mouth. The coffee is infused with festive holiday spices—cinnamon, anise, nutmeg and vanilla—then topped with a float of house-made sweet cream. A cold coffee holiday drink is sounding better and better, isn’t it?

So while you’re debating whether you like the red holiday cups or the green ones, you can now also debate whether you like your holiday coffee hot or cold.
