“Grey’s Anatomy” fans have had plenty of new storylines and returning characters to keep them invested in the long-running series. But now the beloved medical drama is getting a spin-off, “Station 19,” which will focus on a group of Seattle firefighters.

The “Station 19” trailer debuted during the Feb. 1 episode of “Grey’s Anatomy,” and it has fans pretty excited!

Check it out below:

The new show seems like it will be chock-full of the intense drama for which “Grey’s Anatomy” is famous. In addition to their high-pressure jobs, it looks like the characters have some workplace romance going on, just like their counterparts at Grey Sloan Memorial. Dr. Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) appears in the trailer, so hopefully there’s some fun crossover between the two series!

“Station 19” will also feature Dr. Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson), who is married to Dr. Ben Warren (Jason George), a surgeon-turned-firefighter. “You know she’s gotta go over there and mark her territory,” Wilson told TV Guide. “At the end of the day, Ben and Bailey are husband and wife who now work in separate places and we get to explore what that looks like through both shows. ”

The show is created by former “Grey’s”  writer Stacy McKee. In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, McKee spoke about the inspiration behind “Station 19”:

“I knew that with the idea of a spinoff … you want there to be some connective tissue. It’s just a matter of looking at the world that’s already established at ‘Grey’s’ and figuring out where can I shine the light elsewhere. To me, that very organically became a fire station.”

This is the second spin-off from the “Grey’s Anatomy” cast. The first, “Private Practice,” starred Kate Walsh as neonatal surgeon Dr. Addison Forbes Montgomery and ran from 2007 until 2013.

The first full episode of “Station 19” will premiere on Thurs., March 22 at 9 p.m. EST on ABC — so mark your calendars now!
