Super Mario Bros. Toys Are Back In McDonald’s Happy Meals

Do you miss the ’90s? The music, the fashion, the toys? If so, you’re in luck! McDonald’s just announced that they are partnering with Nintendo once again to bring back Super Mario Brothers toys in their Happy Meals.

The last time McDonald’s offered Super Mario toys, it was the ’90s. (And, by the way, now some of those Happy Meal toys are going for $10 over on Etsy.)

But, if you would rather pay just $2.79 (and get lunch along with it) head to the Golden Arches. From April 26 to May 22, McDonald’s will be offering eight Super Mario Bros. 3 toys in their Happy Meals. This includes Jumping Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Princess Peach, Bowser, Invisible Mario, a 1-Up Mushroom and a Koopa Shell.

One super-fan had already collected all eight of the toys the day they were released, and complete sets are already for sale on eBay.

Happy Meal Celebrates Mario Kart 8

The partnership is to celebrate Nintendo’s latest Mario offering, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for Nintendo Switch. The game is being called “the best entry in the series so far,” “the definitive Mario Kart 8 experience,” and “instantly playable.” The game costs $59.99 and just released on today, April 28.

And the Happy Meal toys are equally cool. They come with all kinds of capabilities. For example, the Invincible Mario can turn colors and Luigi can spin around. No wonder so many grown-ups are heading to McDonald’s to scoop up these toys!

Yep, parents might be more excited than their kids about the latest Happy Meal toys:

Hey, it’s hard to resist the pull of childhood favorites! Not to mention, the box design is pretty cool, too:

The toys definitely speak to the ’90s nostalgia that is buried inside of a lot of us. Remember these commercials for the Mario Bros. Happy Meal toys? It definitely brings back memories, doesn’t it?

Whether you are a kid or just a kid at heart, the combination of Nintendo and McDonald’s seems to be a temptation too great to deny. Go out and collect ’em all!
