Are you ready to ring in 2018? Although it doesn’t sound like the healthiest of ideas, you may want to make “eat more Taco Bell” your New Year’s resolution. That’s because the fast food chain announced that they are adding 20 new dollar-menu items over the course of 2018.
You don’t even need to wait until the official start of the new year to chow down because on Dec. 21, the $1 Stacker will hit the menu. This folded quesadilla comes with a melted three-cheese blend, nacho cheese and seasoned beef. After it’s grilled and pressed, the quesadilla is folded three times to make a stack. For $5, you can get your Stacker with a Doritos Locos Taco, a crunchy taco, chips and nachos cheese and a medium fountain drink. It looks pretty tasty!

You can also start your day with the Stacker in its breakfast version, which swaps beef for scrambled eggs.
“We believe passionately that people should have more than just the ability to eat for $1; they should feel like they can feast for $1,” Marisa Thalberg, chief marketing officer at Taco Bell, said in a press release. “We are (and always have been) completely committed to coming up with the most craveable, creative menu items that set the bar for what great food at a great value should be.”
Taco Bell is playing coy regarding what the rest of the new $1 menu will entail, so you’ll just have to be patient to find out what goodies are in store come 2018. However, these dollar items will also only be available for a limited time — so eat ’em while you can.
Taco Bell is not the only player in the fast food game to step up their dollar menu. Earlier this month, McDonald’s unveiled a revamped $1, $2 and $3 menu. One-dollar items include a sausage burrito, a McChicken, a cheeseburger, and any size soft trick.
The $2 items are sausage McGriddles, two-piece buttermilk crispy tenders, bacon McDouble, and a small McCafe beverage.
The items on the $3 menu are the sausage McMuffin and egg, a new classic chicken sandwich, a triple cheeseburger, and a happy meal.
You can expect these value items to roll out in participating stores on Jan. 4.
