‘Avatar’-Themed Park Is Coming To Disney World This Summer And It Looks Amazing!

The folks at Disney always seem to have new surprises up their sleeves. Recently, the company confirmed that it will be adding three new themed attractions to the complex: “Star Wars” Land, “Toy Story” Land and an “Avatar”-themed park called Pandora: The World of Avatar. While Disney has not announced opening dates for the “Star Wars” and “Toy Story” attractions, both located in Hollywood Studios, the expected opening of Pandora has been announced.

The anticipation is finally over! Pandora will open its doors to the public in summer 2017. Pandora: The World of Avatar will be located in Disney’s Animal Kingdom in in Orlando, Florida. James Cameron, director of the 2009 movie “Avatar,” and Disney Imagineers have been working diligently to ensure that this new attraction  is a fully-immersive experience for guests, and from the looks of the video below, they have done just that!

The Avatar you see at the end is an actual animatronic from the new park! The lifelike appearance is breathtaking in a video, so can you imagine seeing it in person? Read on for more fun facts about the development of The World of Avatar as well as what you can expect when the park opens this summer.

Construction for the park began in 2014. The first concept art was released in February 2015. The park includes the iconic floating mountains from the movie. The park will be filled with hundreds of exotic-looking plants, including a replication of the bioluminescent forest, which will appear differently both day and night—creating two totally different environments!

And of course, a world wouldn’t be complete without attractions, dinning and shopping. The park will feature two new attractions, “Avatar: Flight of Passage” and “The Na’vi River Journey,” as well as some fun dining and shopping spots.

The Avatar: Flight of Passage attraction will take you on the back of a mountain banshee, the giant bird-like animals that are also seen in the film. This attraction will be similar to Disney’s Epcot ride Soarin’. You’ll be plunging and diving and exploring the world of Pandora.

The Na’vi River Journey will be a boat ride through the bioluminescent forest, an attraction the whole family will love!

The Satu’li Canteen will be the main restaurant in the park. Enjoy a good meal and also take a look at Na’vi art and other cultural items. Wind Traders will be the main shopping destination in the park. Find science kits, toys and more! Pongo Pongu will be the spot to grab a festive, “Avatar”-themed drink on those hot summer days!

So, are you currently booking your trip to Disney World for this summer? We know we are!

10 Dogs Who Are Really Feeling The Holiday Spirit [Video]

The holiday season is an exciting time of the year—no matter who you are! With all of the lights, decorations and the extra bit of cheer going around, it’s hard not to get swept up in the magic of it all.

But if you thought YOU were excited for Christmas to finally get here, just wait until you see these dogs. By the looks of it, they’re even more ecstatic than you are.

Don’t believe me? Then go on and take a look for yourself.

Whether they’re playing with ornaments, pulling the sleigh or even playing the role of Santa, these pets are definitely loving this time of the year.

In all honesty, they’re probably just freaking out because they’re not used to seeing, say, a giant tree in their living room. And if you think about it, this new addition really would be quite confusing for your pooch. But, it’s definitely more fun to say that they just fell in love with the holiday season, don’t you think? I mean, one dog was even caroling, for goodness sake!

No matter how you look at it, these pups are freaking out about the holidays. And it’s bringing me sheer joy just watching them do it. It’s hard to choose a favorite. What do I enjoy more? The Dachshunds dressed up as reindeer? The one playing with a jingle bell ornament? Ugh, it’s just too difficult to choose!

Guess I’ll have to watch the video for the 21,000th time to make my mind up. Want to watch along with me? Go ahead and give the video a replay. This kind of sheer happiness is what the season’s all about, after all!

Have yourself a merry little Christmas. Because these pets certainly are, and you can’t blame them for it. Not one little bit!

How To Make Your Own Customizable Photo Coasters

The holidays are upon us, and the gift shopping frenzy has begun. If you’re looking for an easy, customizable gift you can make rather than buy—look no further!

These DIY tile photo coasters would make the perfect customizable gift for friends and family this year.

Finding a quality gift for less can be quite the task. What I love about these tile coasters is that they look like a million bucks, but they will only cost you a few! Not to mention these coaster are super easy and fun to make. You’ll probably have to buy a few of the materials, but I bet you already have half of them at home!

You’ll need some tiles, a family photo, some Mod Podge, spray sealant and felt chair pads to bring these tile coasters to life! Ready to make them yourself? See the full list of materials and instructions below to create your own personalized tile photo coasters, then watch the video to see the step-by-step instructions in action.

Materials Needed

  • 4×4″ white tiles
  • 4×4″ square pictures
  • Scissors
  • Mod Podge
  • Foam brushes
  • Felt chair pads
  • Hot glue gun
  • Ribbon
  • Spray sealant

Craft Instructions

Step 1: Cut the photos

  • Cut photos so they’re approximately 1/4 smaller than the tile.

Step 2: Add Mod Podge

  • Using the foam brush, lightly apply mod podge to the surface of the tile.

Step 3: Add and secure the photo

  • Center the photo on the tile.
  • Gently press down to stick.
  • Lightly mod podge over photo using the foam brush. Lightly is the key here, using too much will cause the photo to pucker!

Step 4: Dry time

  • Allow the tile to dry for about 20 minutes.

Step 5: Finishing touches

  • Spray the top and sides with an acrylic finishing spray sealant to waterproof the tile. You don’t want a water ring to ruin your masterpiece!
  • Flip over and use a hot-glue gun to glue on the four felt pads to the back of the tile, one felt pad in each corner.

Step 6: Wrap, gift and prepare to win the holidays!

Watch 15,000 Dominoes Fall And Prepare To Be Mesmerized

What takes 25 hours to assemble, but only two minutes to fall apart? Well, you are about to find out.

Lily Hevesh is a domino artist (yes, there is such a thing). She created this massive “Triple Spiral” domino display with 15,000 dominoes and, we would imagine, a lot of patience.

The project took her 25 hours, spread out over the course of eight days, to build — and just two minutes to fall. Her triple spiral video’s been watched over 38 million times on YouTube alone.

Check it out:

Hevesh has made a name for herself in this space; she’s created complex commercial campaigns for Honda and Ford, among others. Networks like NBC, FOX News, CNN and CBS have all featured her videos.

Lily’s YouTube channel has over 357 million total YouTube views and over 1.2 million subscribers. In other words, she’s kind of a big deal.

Lily Hevesh/Hevesh5.com

She started playing with dominoes in 2009 when she was 10, getting into the whole thing simply by searching “dominoes” on YouTube.

“Take it slow, be very cautious when you’re building, and if it falls down, know that it’s part of the domino process,” Hevesh previously told CBS News.

Hevesh, who hails from New Hampshire, says she owns about 70,000 dominoes. She also has a Guinness World Record under her belt. She was part of a team that set a record in 2016 for the most dominoes toppled in a circle. The amount they toppled? A cool 76,017!

Check out Hevesh’s YouTube channel for tons of other mesmerizing videos of her work. This video, which she created with a fellow domino artist several years ago, is the most-watched on her channel with a whopping 85 million views:

This satisfying video of 1,000,000 dominoes has earned an amazing 28.4 million views. You seriously won’t be able to look away!

This ASMR compilation of dominoes falling has also attracted plenty of eyeballs, with over 3.3 million views:

And here’s a reel of highlights from some of her “best projects,” which she shared in June 2017. Seriously astounding work!

Hevesh typically posts new clips of her projects to her channel every Saturday at 1 p.m. ET. The domino artist remains active on her channel even while attending the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York. (Famous Rensselaer alums include Reid Hoffman, the co-founder of LinkedIn, as well as a bunch of NASA employees and astronauts.)

In 2017, Hevesh closed up her domino studio and moved all 70,000 of her dominoes to her parents’ house, a process that she chronicled on social media:

For all you Hevesh superfans out there, she even has her own logo and line of shirts, too. Pretty impressive, considering she’s not even 30! Clearly, she has a bright future ahead of her.

Interested in starting your own domino art projects? Hevesh offers tips on her website, and you can grab a 100-pack of bulk dominoes on Amazon for $18.99 and shipping is free.

Kids Share Hilarious Thoughts About Their Teachers

Families across the country are gearing up for kids to head back to school (if they haven’t already). From buying school supplies and first day of school outfits to planning the family’s new schedule and figuring out how to get everyone where they are going on time—it can be an exciting yet stressful time of year.

In an effort to lighten the mood and remind us of the sweet rewards of all this hard work, take a break from the to-do list and spend a couple minutes putting it all into perspective.

Watch as these children share exactly what they think about their teachers. The kids respond to questions such as “What do teachers do for fun?” and “What kind of gift would your teacher like?” Knowing that kids say the darndest things, the answers are as amusing as you might expect (gift ideas include everything from “monkeys” to “a gift card for Amazon“). Even if you don’t have children, you will be able to appreciate the hilarity.

Enjoy!

This Crazy Way To Cut Hair Is Truly Something You Need To See To Believe

A stylist at M&M Friseure Salon in Germany has turned the typical haircut completely upside down. No, you will not have all the blood rushing to your head as you hang suspended from your chair. It is your hair that defies gravity during this innovative new cut.

As you can see in the video, in order to accomplish the cut, the hairdresser divides the client’s hair into four very high ponytails. Next, she uses some sort of wax to get the ponytails to stand up straight. After smoothing out the ponytails, a quick horizontal snip on each end is all that is needed to achieve a cute choppy, layered look.

The most shocking part of the whole thing is how good the client’s hair looks when she is finished.

This cut follows up on the barber shop bob cut that was recently trending. In case you missed it check out California’s Fern the Barber in action. His precision is impressive.

Dog Hilariously Plays Dead Because He Doesn’t Want To Leave The Park

Like me not wanting to leave the warm comfort of my bed or a child refusing to leave the cereal aisle until she gets her frosted puffs, this dog doesn’t want to leave the park.

Posted by wipandco in 2013, this golden retriever loves the fresh air so much that he’s mastered the art of playing dead.

From gently being picked up and flopped over on his back, he plays the part better than Leo. Somebody get this guy an Oscar.

Can You Listen To 1500 People Sing ‘Hallelujah’ Without Getting Chills?

I’m not sure what exactly it is that creates the power behind these moments. Whether it’s the music that is chosen, the individuals who sing it, or the sheer number of people united as one, this video of a 1500-voice choir singing Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” is sure to stir up some emotions.

Choir! Choir! Choir! is a Toronto based group led by Daveed Goldman and Nobu Adilman. The group is open to anyone, and the choir meets twice weekly to learn new arrangements of pop songs.

The group recently came together at the Hearn Generating Station in Toronto and were taught back-up parts to “Hallelujah” prior to Rufus Wainwright (whose cover of the song you may know from “Shrek”) joining them as the lead singer.

The gathering was diverse, encompassing all different nationalities, ethnicities and ages—making the result even more powerful. So take a moment to join the group by singing along or simply by taking the time to watch.

Whatever way you are a part of this performance, you will undoubtedly be a part of something bigger than just yourself.

Justin Timberlake Released His First Song In 3 Years And It Will Be The Song Of The Summer

Big news over the weekend…Justin Timberlake just released his first single in three years.  Three years, Justin? That’s just way to long. The good news is that the waiting was worth it, because the new song, Can’t Stop The Feeling, is amazing.

I have a feeling it’s going to be the song of the summer.  It’s catchy and upbeat.   The music video is pretty fun as well.  It features a bunch of his celebrity friends including James Corden, Gwen Stefani, Anna Kendrick and more.

What do you think?

You’ve Likely Been Cutting Your Cake Wrong All This Time

Ever have one of those moments when you realize you’ve been doing something so wrong your entire life and the solution is SO OBVIOUS?!? That’s how I’m feeling now after watching this clip from Numberphile.

Apparently cutting a round cake into triangles is all wrong. The best way to do it is to cut a rectangle through the middle so that you can push the cake back together and keep it fresh for longer. Alex Bellos, a mathematician, uses this Letter to the Editor from a 1906 weekly Science magazine titled Nature to help with his demonstration.

Watch the tutorial and get ready to kick your cake-cutting game up a notch!

This May Be The Cutest ‘Sesame Street’ Moment Ever

In the video, a little girl, by the name of Joey, and Kermit the frog sing the classic Alphabet Song together.  During the short song, Joey can be heard inserting “Cookie Monster” into a few parts of the alphabet as a silly joke.

Her laugh is infectious and Jim Henson’s ability to improv on the spot both verbally and with Kermit’s facial expressions are what has made Sesame Street so wonderful for so many years.

If you ever need a little smile, just go back and watch this video. Enjoy!

Starbucks Drive-Through Serves Deaf Community With Video Camera

A St. Augustine Florida Starbucks location is gaining a lot of attention after this video was recently posted online

In the video, it shows customer, Rebecca King, (who is deaf) ordering at the drive-through. When the Starbucks barista realizes her customer is deaf, she turns on a web cam so she can take her order through sign language.

St. Augustine is home to a large deaf community and the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind is located there.

This particular Starbucks is proud of the way they can accommodate their customers. “I think more people need to know about what we’re doing because it moves customer service to a whole new level,” an employee said to WJAX-TV. “I hope it helps make more people aware of what they can to do serve others in their communities.”

With all the chatter about Starbucks’ Pumpkin Spice Latte and newest Holiday flavors, I was getting somewhat annoyed with the press. But this actually made me stand up and take notice.

My hat goes off to the giant coffee company for raising the bar and going above and beyond what it means to serve others.

Watch: A Marine Expected To Be Greeted By His Son In A Wheelchair, But Gets An Amazing Surprise

Is someone cutting onions around me? I can’t seem to stop these tears from welling up.

The young boy in the video is named Michael, and he has cerebral palsy. According to ViralNova, doctors said Michael would never walk. But while his father was deployed overseas, Michael became determined to walk when his father returned home.

And he did just that. It’s absolutely touching to see how proud Michael’s father is when he’s surprised by his son confidently walking towards him.

This video is a gentle reminder of how much we value our families and cherish monumental milestones like this.

Veteran’s Day is Wednesday, November 11, 2015. If you know someone who has served our country, please be sure to thank them for their service.

5,000 Years Of Makeup Trends In One Video

Lisa Eldridge might know makeup history better than anyone else. Using her deep knowledge on the subject she created an incredible video that captures all of the makeup and beauty trends since the beginning of time.

It’s pretty cool to see how different cultures used make-up over the years. I had no idea that Egyptians were the first to use makeup and that men also experimented with the “technology.”

Checkout Lisa’s website for a listing of all the products she used in the video (you know, in case you want to bring back that Victorian look).

92 Year Old Woman’s Poem Reminds Us To Appreciate Life & Age Gracefully

Wanda B. Goines is one well spoken 92 year old woman. Titled, “The Gift Wrap & The Jewel,” Wanda’s poem reflects on life, aging, and internal spirit, presumably from her own experiences.

We all have insecurities about growing old. Her words are beautifully expressive and humbly true. A reminder to live each day to the fullest, may we all age as gracefully as Wanda.

Watch This Gorgeous Drone Footage Of Giant Whales Swimming Near A Tiny Human Paddleboarder

This video of southern right whales swimming off the coast of Esperance, Australia is absolutely beautiful. Jamien Hudson, an Esperance local, managed to capture the footage using a DJI Phantom 3 drone. The clip is shot in 4k, so if you have the right TV setup it will look even better.

Here’s what Jamien Hudson had to say in an interview with Mashable Australia:

“It just so happened that he was out at the time, and a few people let me know there were whales on the beach and it all just went from there,” Hudson explained. “They were really curious and came over to meet [Dave] … Just very inquisitive about him, I don’t think it was really that dangerous at all.”

Dad’s Commentary Is Hilarious When He Catches Daughter ‘Drinking And Driving’

This dad has a great sense of humor! His daughter is playing outside with her foot powered car. When she gets stuck on the driveway in a snowbank, he turns on the camera and proceeds to pretend she’s a driver that’s been “drinking and driving.”

His lines are classic, “Headquarters, we’ve got a car accident at 10149 South Eleanor. Driver seems to have hit a snow mound, non-responsive…” He goes on for about 40 seconds. I can’t stop cracking up.

JJ Watt And Kevin Durant Support Others’ Dreams In Touching Commercial

Superstar athletes JJ Watt and Kevin Durant have teamed with with American Family Insurance in its, “Every Dream Needs A Champion” Campaign to produce this heartwarming commercial.

In the short clip, you see each of them surprise individuals working hard to achieve their dreams and goals.

This fondly reminds me of the #ThanksMom commercial (below) that Proctor and Gamble released a few years back for the 2014 Sochi winter games.

Here’s The Science Behind Why Left-Handed People Are Truly Special

About one-tenth of the world is left-handed and according to archaeological evidence, that’s been true for 500,000 years. Whoa.

So how come left-handers are still around? In this fascinating Ted video, Daniel M. Abrams explains how a mathematical model suggests that the reason is something to do with the “balance between competitive and cooperative pressure in human evolution”.

So if you’re a lefty or you know one, there’s more to it than being a hard-to-hit pitcher, or having trouble using regular scissors.

Bride And Groom Create Epic Music Video With The Help Of 250 Wedding Guests

This may be one of the most creative wedding videos we’ve found yet. Robert and Theresa had one pretty amazing start to their big day: the making of a one-take, 250-person music video. All the guests had instructions and props under their seats so they knew exactly what to do for their spot in the performance.

The video uploader, Robert Ly said “If you know Robert & Teresa, it should be no surprise that this superhero-themed wedding turned into an epic mashup of all kinds of crazy.  I mean, they do own a Ninja themed sushi restaurant so they quite enjoy crazy.”
