Target Is Now Including Groceries In Its Curbside Pickup Options
This will make grocery shopping at Target easier and safer!
Since the coronavirus pandemic began, there’s been an increase in grocery stores offering services like delivery and curbside pickup for customers who don’t want to go inside the store.
And now, we can add Target to the list of retailers offering curbside pickup for groceries. While the store was already offering order pickup and drive-up service for many items, Target recently announced that fresh and frozen food items are now also eligible.
The new addition to the pickup service includes 750 grocery items, from produce and dairy to bakery, meat and frozen products. For now, the grocery pickup will be in more than 400 stores across the Midwest by the end of June, and will expand to more than 1,500 stores nationwide before the holiday season.
The 750 grocery items are in addition to more than 250,000 items already available for pickup across departments like home, apparel, health, skincare and more. Both order pickup and drive-up are free, with no membership or minimum order required.
“During a time when even more people are looking for different ways to get the items they need, we’ll continue to invest in making Target the easiest and safest place to shop,” John Mulligan, Target’s chief operating officer, said in a press release.
You can see if your local Target is offering the grocery service and place an order for drive-up through the Target app. When you arrive to get your order, simply stay in the car and a Target associate will bring your groceries to you. You can also choose to go inside the store to pick up your order.
This is the second big announcement Target has made this month. The retailer recently committed to permanently raising its minimum wage to $15 per hour for team members at stores throughout the country.
