Target is now selling “Golden Girls” cereal

If you or someone you know is a “Golden Girls” superfan, there’s some exciting news coming to your breakfast table. Target has just unveiled a new cereal based on the iconic TV series “The Golden Girls,” which ran from 1985 to 1992.

Made by Funko, the blue multigrain cereal (“FunkO’s”) is lightly toasted with sugar, and each box contains a mini collector’s toy shaped like characters Rose, Dorothy, Sophia or Blanche. In addition to Target, this cereal can be purchased from Mercari.com ($19) and ToyWiz.com (out of stock).

Instagram user geeksofgalaxy shared a look at the limited edition cereal:

Of course, if you don’t want to buy and/or eat four boxes of cereal in order to get the collectors’ toys, you can buy similar collectibles from Walmart:

Keep your eyes peeled for the “The Golden Girls” cereal on your local Target shelves, and check out some of Funko’s other products for fans of Dorothy, Rose, Blanche and Sophia, including a Golden Girls: POP! TV Collectors Set.

While at Target, you can also find a “Golden Girls”-themed coloring book (how perfect would this be as a stocking-stuffer for the Rose fan in your life?), as well as a hardcover book all about the fandom, called “Thank You for Being a Friend: Life According to the Golden Girls.” It includes everything from behind-the-scenes secrets to makeup tips to recipes … including one for cheesecake, of course!

Target is becoming a monument to nostalgia lately, what with their vintage kids’ toys, “I Dream of Jeannie” dolls, and their other Funko collectibles. We’re here for it!
