As if you needed another reason to stop by Target on a weekend — here’s one: They’re hosting a free event that you can enjoy with your kids on Saturday, Nov. 10, so I would say be sure to mark it on your calendar, but it’s more like — just be sure to continue with your usual Saturday morning Target run.

From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on that day, select Target stores will be hosting an L.O.L. Surprise! Eye Spy Pets Scavenger Hunt event that will give your kids the chance to follow clues until they find the missing L.O.L. Surprise! Pet. Once the pet is found, there will be a chance to purchase an exclusive L.O.L. Surprise! Pet Ball.

But that’s not all! The event will also have fun extras like a selfie station, free gifts and a giveaway every 30 minutes while supplies last. This is bound to be yet another Saturday well spent at Target!

According to the retailer, there will be many participating locations, but to be sure there’s one near you, visit the event location finder on the Target website and type in your zip code.

Most parents have probably heard of L.O.L. Surprise! by now — and there’s a good reason for it. It’s been dubbed one of the hottest toys to buy this year. There’s even a #LOLSurpriseIRL hashtag devoted to photos of kids who dress up to look like the dolls.

These toys were created by MGA Entertainment, the company also responsible for Bratz dolls, Lalaloopsy and Little Tikes — so when it comes to making must-have toys, that company definitely knows what it’s doing.

But L.O.L. Surprise! is actually one of the first of its kind, considering it was created with YouTube, Snapchat and other social media platforms in mind — particularly, the phenomenon of “unboxing” videos on YouTube.

“Frankly, we were seeing these videos everywhere and thought, why not just bring an unboxing toy to these kids,” Isaac Larian, the founder and chief executive of MGA, told the Washington Post.

So, that’s why every L.O.L. Surprise! product comes with dolls, pets and more that have special “surprise” features. You have to open it up and begin playing with it before you truly unveil the hidden surprise elements of each toy.

Your kids will undoubtedly be in for a good time at Target’s upcoming event while they follow clues to find plenty of surprises waiting for them! Plus, you’ll probably get some “cool parent” bonus points in the process — along with a cart full of items you “needed” from Target. We’d call that a win-win!
