Courtney Hadwin is only 14 years old, but when she took the stage for the first live round on season 13 of “America’s Got Talent,” she showed a talent that belied her young age.

Hadwin gave a rousing performance of “Papa’s Got a Brand New Bag” by James Brown. She really brought the house down with both her vocals and her dance moves.

The performance earned her a standing ovation from all four judges — Heidi Klum, former Spice Girl Mel B, Howie Mandel and, yes, even notoriously hard-to-impress veteran judge Simon Cowell. Check out her epic performance in the clip below:

This is not the first time that the unassuming teen has wowed with her skills. She previously shocked judges and audience alike with her powerful rendition of Otis Redding’s “Hard to Handle” during her first audition for the show on June 12:

Wow! It’s hard to believe that this amazing voice comes out of this young, seemingly shy girl. Hadwin seemed pretty pleased with her performance as well.

The contestant took to Twitter to express her pride and gratitude:

“Wow what an amazing night it has been an experience I am never gonna forget @AGT @howiemandel #AGT13 #wow feeling blessed,” she wrote.

Despite her amazing voice, some fans have expressed some reservations about Hadwin’s participation on the show because she already appeared on another singing competition show, “The Voice Kids UK,” last year. However, the U.K. native technically isn’t breaking any rules.

“International acts are eligible to participate in the initial ‘AGT’ auditions on visitor visas,” a spokesperson for the show told Good Housekeeping. “If selected to proceed to the program live shows, ‘AGT’ works with acts to secure appropriate performer visas which give acts authorization to perform throughout the series.”

For the most part, fans were impressed with Hadwin’s performance. Many of them tweeted their support, such as this one response from @Angie_Sanchez20. She wrote: “Wow!!! @CourtneyHadwin Girl, you are AMAZING!!!!”

Here’s another reaction from @sye_nicholas, who wrote: “@CourtneyHadwin’s was incredible, It was the best performance of the night #AGT.”

Whether or not you think it’s totally fair for Hadwin to compete, no one can deny her obvious talent and passion.

Will you be rooting for her to go all the way?
