Though much of the U.S. is still under the sway of extreme cold weather, Texas has been hardest hit because of the power outages there. As the cold weather continues, what started out as a novel weather event has evolved into a winter weather emergency, and Texans are scrambling to stay warm, feed themselves and get the medical care they need, all amid the power outages.

It’s a difficult time, but many nonprofits have rallied to try to provide assistance for Texans in need. If you’re looking to help, here is a list of organizations coordinating fundraisers and resources to help people on the ground.
