Netflix finally released a full-length trailer for ‘The Baby-Sitters Club’ reboot

Girls who grew up in the late ’80s and ’90s and their counterparts of today will all find something to love in the reboot of “The Baby-Sitters Club.”

Or so it seems from watching the full-length trailer Netflix just released for this new TV version of the iconic Ann M. Martin book series. After first being announced back in 2018, the new “BSC” is finally set to launch its first 10 episodes on July 3.

Take a look at the modernized world of Stoneybrook, Connecticut, and the new Kristy Thomas, Mary Anne Spier, Claudia Kishi, Stacey McGill, and Dawn Schafer below.

Thank goodness the club found a “vintage” landline phone on Etsy to ground us old millennials and younger GenXers! It also looks like they will be dealing with school, life and relationship issues along with babysitting, just like in the books.

The creator and author of the original 200+ “Baby-Sitters” books, Ann M. Martin, was involved in the new production.

“I couldn’t be happier with the Netflix BSC series cast and am so excited about the changes made to bring The Baby-sitters Club to a new generation,” Martin posted on her Facebook page. “I met all the girls on set and love how they reflect the BSC then and now — strong, confident, and entrepreneurial. I hope you love the cast as much as I do!”

The actresses playing our favorite teen babysitters are mostly fresh faces though you might recognize Momona Tamada (Claudia) as “Young Lara Jean” from “To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You,” and Shay Rudolph (Stacey), who played Maya on the 2018-2019 TV version of “Lethal Weapon.”

Sophie Grace plays Kristy, Malia Baker plays Mary Ann, and Xochitl Gomez plays Dawn. The end of the trailer and IMDB offer hints that we might see Mallory Pike and Jessi Ramsey too!

Joining these young actors are Alicia Silverstone as Kristy’s mom and Mark Feuerstein (“Royal Pains”) as Kristy’s stepdad.

We can’t wait to see how these timeless characters take on today’s world!
