The full trailer for ‘Toy Story 4’ is here, so prepare to shed a few tears
It’s here! The full trailer for “Toy Story 4” has been released and gives audiences a much more in-depth look at what the latest Pixar sequel is about.
If you remember the ending to “Toy Story 3,” a grown-up Andy gifted all of his toys to a young girl named Bonnie. The new movie picks up soon after with Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and the rest of the toys meeting a new toy named Forky. Unlike the existing prefabricated toys, Forky is a DIY toy that Bonnie made herself out of a spork and some art supplies.

After Forky decides to escape (because he wants to be a utensil, not a toy), Woody goes after him and a new adventure begins. Along the way, Woody reunites with Bo Peep, whose absence from the last film is explained. Bo has created a new, independent life for herself and encourages Woody to leave Bonnie and his old life behind and do the same. This gives Woody a moral dilemma to think about — does he join Bo or is his destiny to return to Bonnie and his friends?

Although the trailer doesn’t hint at how the movie ends, Tom Hanks, who voices Woody, described the ending of the film as a “moment in history.”
Specifically, he told BBC: “The way you record ‘Toy Story,’ you’re in a room with the team that has created it…When I went in for my last day of recording, I wanted to have my back to them, because usually you’re facing him so you can look right up and you can talk about it. But I didn’t want to see them and I wanted to pretend they couldn’t see me. When I realized what they were going for, I realized, ‘Oh, this is a moment in history.’”
No matter how “Toy Story 4” ends, you better believe we’re going to have our tissues ready!
