The Pumpkin Pie Blizzard Is Coming Back To Dairy Queen

Day 55: It's a blizzard warning!

If the return of Starbucks’ pumpkin spice latte on Aug. 28 is a bit too early of a fall kickoff for you, just hold on to summer for one more week and wait for Dairy Queen’s famed frozen fall treat.

The beloved Pumpkin Pie Blizzard will return for its 27th year on Sept. 3, according to Delish — roughly one week after the PSL arrives for the season.

Made with Dairy Queen’s vanilla soft serve, pumpkin pie pieces, whipped cream and nutmeg, the September flavor of the month comes in four sizes — mini, small, medium or large — in case you’re just looking for a taste or want to dive head-first into fall and not wait until Thanksgiving for your pumpkin pie.

Just can’t wait even one more second for some pumpkin spice? Have no fear! You’ll find plenty of other pumpkin spice products already on store shelves, such as Starbucks’ cookie straws and Captain Morgan’s pumpkin spice rum. You can also find pumpkin wine online or make some pumpkin treats yourself. From bread to waffles and even smoothies, who says pumpkin is only for the fall?

If you prefer summer flavors, though, you have roughly a week to snag Dairy Queen’s August flavor of the month — the Reese’s Outrageous Blizzard, with Reese’s peanut butter cups, Reese’s pieces, peanut butter and caramel. Other summer Blizzards that likely won’t be around for much longer include s’mores, cotton candy and summer berry cheesecake.

The pumpkin pie blizzard will only be available for a limited time, too, and you can only get it at participating locations, so be sure to check your local Dairy Queen.

Will you be grabbing this fall treat in September?
