Sometimes, you don’t have to be tall to be larger than life. Just look at comedian Rhea Perlman, who clocks in at 5 feet even but has one of Hollywood’s biggest personalities.

But some of Hollywood’s leading women do have heights that match their towering personas. From basketball pro-turned-performer Lisa Leslie to everyone’s favorite Wonder Woman, Gal Gadot, these talented actors have no problem stretching their limbs and reaching for the stars.

Brooke Shields—Height: 6 feet

Brooke Shields is another Hollywood starlet who’s a member of the 6-foot club. Her height helped propel her modeling career, but it’s her talent that shot her to stardom. Her leading role in the NBC hit series “Suddenly Susan” cemented her status as a comedy queen. But she’s more than an actor and model: She’s also a fashion designer with a new line for QVC.

Gwendoline Christie—Height: 6 feet 3 inches

Gwendoline Christie is best known for her role as warrior Brienne of Tarth in HBO’s wildly popular series “Game of Thrones.” But the 6-foot-3-inch actor has been on the scene long before she picked up that sword.

Christie was an accomplished stage actor in England before she made her feature film debut in 2009. Still, “Game of Thrones” undoubtedly launched Christie into the spotlight, leading to parts in both “The Hunger Games” and the “Star Wars” franchises, among other roles.

Cameron Diaz—Height: 5 feet 9 inches

Cameron Diaz has taken a step back from acting in recent years after spending decades in front of the spotlight. But the 5-foot-9-inch Golden Globe-nominated actor captured the hearts of millions of fans with her roles in “The Sweetest Thing” and “There’s Something About Mary.” Let’s hope she’s not retired from acting for good!

Julia Roberts—Height: 5 feet 9 inches

Julia Roberts is beyond talented and her entire film career is proof of that. And while “Pretty Woman” may have launched her career, the 2000 biopic “Erin Brockovich” defined it. Mandy Moore—Height: 5 feet 10 inches

Move over, Reese Witherspoon: Mandy Moore is America’s sweetheart now. The performer has had a renaissance over the last few years, thanks to her role on the hit NBC series, “This Is Us.” She stands at 5 feet 10 inches, just a tad taller than actor Milo Ventimiglia, who plays her husband on the show.

Jennifer Garner—Height: 5 feet 9 inches

Jennifer Garner is a Girl Scout cookie slinger, a pet chicken owner, an Instagram slayer and a recent Hollywood Walk of Fame inductee. She’s also among the tallest women in Hollywood, standing in at 5 feet 9 inches. Garner uses her height to her advantage in her new action-thriller, “Peppermint,” in which she plays a grieving mother hell-bent on revenge.

Gal Gadot—Height: 5 feet 9 inches

Standing in at 5 feet 9 inches, Gal Gadot is the latest person in a long line of leading ladies who’ve taken on the role of “Wonder Woman.” And like her predecessors, the Israeli actor’s turn as Diana, Princess of the Amazons in 2017’s “Wonder Woman” has inspired children everywhere. “Wonder Woman: 1984,” the highly anticipated sequel to the highest-grossing superhero origin movie, is expected to hit theaters in November 2019.

Kristen Johnston—Height: 6 feet

Kristen Johnston is currently starring alongside Janney on the sitcom “Mom.” But before the veteran actor joined the CBS comedy, she played everyone’s favorite alien lieutenant Sally Solomon on NBC’s smash-hit series, “3rd Rock from the Sun.” Although now proud to be a member of the 6-foot club, Johnston didn’t always have confidence in her height.

“When you’re, that, at that vulnerable age of, you know, 10, 9, 8, 11, in that age range and I was already six feet tall and a loser too, and I was loud,” she told The Advocate in 2012. “I think I’ve always been a freak.”

Maggie Gyllenhaal—Height: 5 feet 9 inches

Maggie Gyllenhaal is another member of the 5-foot-9 club. The actor and producer is known for her work in “Secretary,” “The Dark Knight” and “Crazy Heart,” for which she was nominated for an Academy Award. She currently stars in the HBO drama series, “The Deuce.”

Judy Gold—Height: 6 feet 2 inches

Judy Gold is an award-winning veteran comic with more than 20 years in the industry. Her work writing and producing for “The Rosie O’Donnell Show” landed her two Emmys, and her 2011 one-woman show, “The Judy Gold Show: My Life as a Sitcom,” earned her rave reviews. At 6 feet 2 inches, Gold also towers over the rest of her fellow stand-ups.

And height runs in the family: Her daughter, model Kendall Jenner, is 5 feet 10 inches.

Brigitte Nielsen—Height: 6 feet 1 inch

Brigitte Nielsen is one of Hollywood’s iconic action stars. Recently, the 6-foot-1-inch Danish actor had a starring role in the 2014 action flick, “Mercenaries.” She also welcomed her fifth child, daughter Frida Dessi, in June.

Allison Janney is an accomplished actor with a diverse background in stage, film and television. Uma Thurman—Height: 6 feet

Uma Thurman has made quite the name for herself in Hollywood over the last three decades.
