While “Anne of Green Gables” fans may still have a fond place in their hearts for the 1985 “AoGG” TV miniseries, this new take on Anne’s adventures looks like a lot of fun. It will also get Anne super-fans geared up for the “Anne of Green Gables” miniseries that’s launching in Netflix in 2017.

Also, the 2005 movie version of “Pollyanna” will air after “Anne,” giving you a double-dose of family-friendly classics to watch together.

“We are excited to bring both Anne of Green Gables and Pollyanna to our viewers on Thanksgiving evening,” said Beth Hoppe, Chief Programming Executive and General Manager of General Audience Programming, PBS, said in a release. “These two films are great examples of the quality, family-friendly programming PBS strives to provide during the holiday season and all year long.”
