There’s a new Mountain Dew flavor for the holidays

It’s that time of year. No, not the time for family togetherness and turkey with all the trimmings. Forget that. Nope! It’s time for a limited-edition Mountain Dew holiday flavor.

Maybe some of you Dewheads remember that Pepsico rolled out a holiday flavor last year around this time. Well, that rollout must have been pretty successful because they’re doing the same thing this year! Just remember, this is a limited-time-only offering, so if you want to try this seasonal flavor, you need to buy a case (or several) ASAP.

So what does the holiday Mountain Dew taste like?

Last year, it was a combination of two of Moutain Dew’s most popular offerings, green Mountain Dew and Mountain Dew Code Red. While that pleased some Dewheads, it left others thinking “meh.”

No worries. Mountain Dew is taking their holiday brew to the next level for 2018, releasing what they’re calling their “Merry Mashup.” As shared on Instagram by @snackstalker, this new holiday flavor will have notes of cranberry and pomegranate, making it a truly festive treat:

Merry Mashup Mountain Dew is described as “teeming with holiday flavors” and will only be available for a limited time.

So what’s the verdict? Does Dew Nation like this new flavor?

Let’s just say it’s a resounding “yes.” Twitter user @mlcarter34, for one, thinks there’s a chance it may be the best Mountain Dew flavor ever:

If you want to pick up some Merry Mashup Mountain Dew, then you should check your local Target, Walmart, grocery store or convenience store. Don’t see it on the shelves yet? Don’t fret.
