These vintage lip balm tins will make you nostalgic

If you grew up in the ’80s and ’90s and enjoyed playing with makeup, there’s no doubt you remember fruit-flavored lip gloss that came in a slider tin.

The lip balms could get a little messy, as you had to use your finger to apply them, but they always smelled (and tasted!) amazing.

If the thought of the lip gloss tins kicked your nostalgia into high gear, we have some good news. Not only can you still buy the vintage lip balms, but TINte Cosmetics makes more than a dozen flavors!

TINte Cosmetics

The vintage gold slider lip balms offer moisturizer, a slight tint of color and hint of shine. They are enriched with shea butter and are 97% all-natural. They are also paraben-free, phthalate-free and cruelty-free, meaning they are not tested on animals.

Nostalgic flavors include chocolate, pink lemonade, cotton candy, root beer, grape and more. There are also some updated flavors to bring you into the 2000s, like pumpkin spice. Each lip gloss tin costs $5.50 and shipping is free on orders of $40 or more.

While most of the lip balm tins are only sold on TINte Cosmetics website, you can buy some of the brand’s other products on Amazon. The peppermint tin is sold on Amazon, and other lip balm “kissing sticks” are also available there, with flavors like bubble gum, watermelon and “Miss Pepper” (if you were a fan Dr. Pepper Lip Smacker back in the day).

The brand also sells makeup matchbooks on Amazon, each of which includes two eye shadow colors, a cream eyeliner, blush, two lip glosses and two brushes. I definitely remember owning kits like these in the ’90s, so there’s a hint of nostalgia with these as well!

If you want even more classic makeup, Amazon has some other must-haves. While it doesn’t include Dr. Pepper, you can get an eight-pack of Lip Smacker Original Flavors for just $8.99. Flavors include oatmeal cookie, cotton candy, kiwi and more.

Of course, you’ll also need a Caboodle to contain all your makeup, and luckily Amazon offers those, too. This retro compact is just $6.99 and fits right in your purse or travel bag. It has five compartments that will hold a few palettes, brushes or glosses.
