A Third ‘Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants’ Could Be In The Works
Did you love the first two movies?
It’s hard to believe that it’s been 13 years since the original “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” premiered back in 2005. It was followed by a sequel in 2008, and now it seems that a third movie based on the books by the same name may be in the works.
During a recent appearance on “The Tonight Show,” Alexis Bledel, one of the films’ stars, shared the good news with host Jimmy Fallon when asked about her relationship with her castmates: “We don’t get to see each other a lot because everybody’s work or family and everything, but when everybody is in town we do, and we just pitched a third movie and I hope it comes together. It would be so great.”

Wow! It would be great for fans to be able to catch up with the films’ main characters, which are four best friends who share a magical pair of jeans that somehow fit all of them.
Back in January, another of the films’ stars, America Ferrera, shared a photo of herself with costars Blake Lively, Amber Tamblyn and Bledel:
As Bledel mentioned, all of the leads have kept busy in the years that have followed the debut of the sequel. Bledel currently stars on Hulu’s critically acclaimed “The Handmaid’s Tale.” Lively most recently starred in the 2016 thriller “The Shallows,” and has three more films in the works.
Tamblyn has continued acting in movies and TV, including on comedian Amy Schumer’s sketch show, “Inside Amy Schumer.” After her starring role on “Ugly Betty” ended in 2010, Ferrera has continued to light up the small screen, including on the NBC sitcom “Superstore,” which has been renewed for a fourth season.
Will you check out the new “Traveling Pants” movie if it becomes a reality?
