You don’t become a professional athlete all on your own, and Kansas City Royals pitcher Brady Singer understands that. He was drafted to the Royals during their first-round selection in the summer of 2018. To honor all of the sacrifices his parents made during his journey to becoming a professional baseball player, he gave them the most incredible Christmas gift. He paid off all of the debt they accrued over the years.
The son posted a video on Twitter of his parents receiving the news on Christmas morning. In the video, you can see his mom and dad tearfully reading a letter from their son.
“You both always wanted me to have the best stuff to help me pursue my dreams. The money you both spent on traveling, gear, hotel, food and all those Gatorades I drank is much more than I could ever give you,” the letter read. “But there is something I want to give to you. I am paying off the loan from the bank [and] I’ve paid off all your debt as well.”
Today is very special to my heart. To give back to the two people who have given up everything to support my brother and I. I can’t thank them enough. Love you Mom and Dad pic.twitter.com/AFHi2Xma0c

Along with the video, Brady added the caption, “Today is very special to my heart. To give back to the two people who have given up everything to support my brother and I. I can’t thank them enough. Love you Mom and Dad.”
Could you imagine a sweeter Christmas gift?
Since posting the video to Twitter on Christmas Day, it’s been viewed over nine million times, and people can’t help but respond to the sweet moment.

On a serious note, some pointed out that they hoped to do the same for their parents someday. Twitter user @WillMabrey2 wrote, “This is something I look forward to doing. Thanks Mom & Dad for so many sacrifices you’ve made, I promise you i’ll [sic] give back to you.”

Clearly, the Singer family got everyone in the giving spirit! Congratulations to these parents for helping their son achieve his dreams, leading him to also help them achieve theirs in return.
