This Cuddly, Dog-Sized Rescue Rabbit Needs A New Home

This isn’t your average bunny.  Atlas is only 7 months old and already the size of a dog…and he’s still growing.  The Scottish Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is keeping Atlas until they can find a new owner because the current owner was unable to keep the cute furry guy.

*PLEASE NOTE: While it’s fantastic that so many people want to offer Atlas a loving home, we will find him one here in…

Anna O’Donnell, the manager of the SPCA, said in a press release that Atlas is “friendly” and “loves attention and getting cuddles.”   Unfortunately, they are looking for an owner that currently lives in Scotland as they want to avoid a long, stressful journey for Atlas.

Because of his large size, O’Donnell went on to note that Atlas needs a special home that accommodate a rabbit of this size.  A normal rabbit hutch won’t cut it for Atlas.

According to the Huffington Post, Atlas still has some growing to do before he can claim the prize of the Guinness World Record for the largest rabbit.  That prize goes to a rabbit that weighed in at 49 pounds!
