This emotional video of a man proposing to his flight attendant girlfriend on a plane is going viral

Vittoria Stabile thought the Emirates flight from Rome to Dubai was going to be like any other flight she’d worked as a flight attendant for the airline. But her boyfriend, Stefano Inve, had something different in mind.

Inve enlisted the help of the entire cabin to create the most epic marriage proposal ever. With the help of the passengers, he decorated the airplane with hearts, streamers, balloons and red roses so that when his girlfriend boarded, she’d be in complete shock.

And boy oh boy was he successful.

Thankfully, the incredibly sweet moment was captured in a video and posted by Emirates to social media. Make sure you have tissues handy before watching!

As you can see in the video, Stabile was completely overcome by emotion from the moment she opened the curtain and was handed the first red rose. And then, as her boyfriend dropped to one knee and asked her to be his wife, she couldn’t help but say “yes!”

The passengers and crew let out screams and applause when she agreed to take Inve’s hand in marriage. And according to Insider, the flight attendant couldn’t have been happier that the airplane passengers got to be a part of her special day.

She reportedly commented on Emirates’ Instagram post about the special moment, writing, “Thanks for sharing the most wonderful day of my life.”

The video has been viewed over 66,000 times on Twitter alone and a flood of responses have come in because people can’t help but feel all warm and happy inside after seeing a display of affection this grand. Twitter user @JofinVJoy wrote that the moment couldn’t be described in words, but then summed it up as “beautiful”:

It’s a wonder there was a dry eye in the place considering how truly sweet this moment was.

This isn’t the first time someone has gone above and beyond to show their love to a flight attendant — because sometimes a father’s love knows no bounds, either.

Hal Vaughan booked six flights in order to be able to spend Christmas day with his flight attendant daughter, and this special gesture was also documented on social media. A passenger who was touched by the dad’s determination to spend time with his daughter posted about their bond on Facebook:

“I had the pleasure of sitting next to Hal on my flight back home,” wrote Mike Levy. “His daughter Pierce was our flight attendant who had to work over Christmas. Hal decided he would spend the holiday with her. So, he is flying on each of her flights today and tomorrow around the country to spend time with his daughter for Christmas. What a fantastic father.”

Planes may fly thousands of miles off the ground, but sometimes love soars even higher!
