This Funny Clip Of Taylor Swift Post-Surgery Is Going Viral
Pop star Taylor Swift recently had Lasik surgery to correct her vision, and when she came out of anesthesia, she was pretty loopy. Unbeknownst to the musician, her mom recorded her acting silly in her compromised state. When Swift appeared on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” on Oct. 3, the host surprised her by letting her know he had footage of the funny incident and planned to roll it for all of America to see.
“Your mom may or may not have videotaped you after surgery — and she gave us the video,” Fallon coyly told her, barely able to contain his laughter.
Swift looked more than a little embarrassed when she learned the private moment was about to go very public.
“This is Taylor Swift post-surgery,” Fallon said to introduce the clip. “You’re like freaking out over a banana,” he added to the singer.
The video showed a groggy Taylor wearing post-surgery protective goggles and pulling a banana from a bunch before dejectedly complaining, “This isn’t the one I wanted.” Check it out as posted to Twitter by “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon”:

“Stop, you can’t cry,” her mom firmly told her in the video.
Even though her mom offered to take the unwanted banana, that didn’t satisfy Swift. When she began to eat the “right” banana in bed, she looked downright miserable. When her mom warned her not to fall asleep while eating the banana, she angrily protested, “I’m not asleep. My mind is alive.”
Too funny! The studio audience could be heard cracking up at the hilarious video, and when it ended, Fallon had to get up from his desk for a moment because he was laughing so hard.
“Don’t be mad at me!” he begged Swift.
The superstar was definitely able to laugh at herself, but couldn’t believe what she’d just witnessed. “Oh, my god, that’s on television!” she exclaimed.
The tweet has since gone viral and has more than 1.6 million views as well as more than 9,000 retweets and more than 42,000 likes.
When it comes to funny post-surgery behavior, I guess the stars are just like us!
