This Girl Is Fighting A Brain Tumor And Is Asking For Messages From Dogs

GoFundMe

A sweet and simple request is coming from a terminally ill little girl living in Wisconsin: She would love a letter from your dog.

Emma Mertens, a 7-year-old, is fighting a rare and inoperable brain tumor. A GoFundMe account has been set up to help cover her medical costs.

The page has already raised over $120,000. “This family needs to focus on Emma and winning her fight so that she can celebrate her 8th birthday and have more birthdays to come,” the description on the page states. “By donating, you can help lift the financial burden on this family so that they can just focus on being present with Emma and her two brothers.”

Also on that page, you’ll find an outpouring of support from dogs across the world. Emma’s family issued the request, saying their little girl finds comfort in dogs.

Here’s a quick sample of some of the comments that people have left from their furry friends:

Some of the dogs tell Emma how much they love to play ball:

It’s amazing to see so many people from around the world granting the family’s request and sending Emma messages of love and support and photos of their dogs.

If you want to send a message to her yourself, you can contact her at either of these addresses:

However, due to the influx of emails and cards, the family suggests posting a message to Emma on her Facebook page, titled Team Emma. “This is the best route to get messages to her!” the family stated on the GoFundMe description.

They continue to post updates on Emma on the Facebook page as well.
