This Hands-Free Dustpan Will Make Cleaning Your Floors So Much Easier

Youtube

While I love hardwood floors, keeping them clean is quite a chore. With pets and children, messes can accumulate quickly. Even with a thorough sweep, the little bits left after you use a dustpan can be aggravating and seem to multiply on a whim.

Thankfully, a new product is on the market to help make cleaning a little bit easier. It’s called the Eye Vac and it replaces your need for a conventional dustpan.

How does it work? Simply sweep your dirt and debris in front of the machine and it sucks it up into its canister. When full (a little red light goes off), simply dump the contents into a garbage can.

There is a manual or automatic suction mode so pick whichever setting you like best. Also, included in the design is a HEPA filter, which will help clean the air it sucks up as well.

I found two versions on Amazon:

Eye Vac EVPRO Professional Touchless Stationary Vacuum ($96.77). This model comes in white or black.

Eye-Vac Home Touchless Vacuum ($98.98). This model comes in white only.

While both have 4.5 stars ratings, I noticed the “Professional” version is a 1400 Watt vacuum while the “Home” version is only 1000 Watts. Considering they’re essentially the same price, I’d buy the one with the higher wattage and power.

Here’s a review from the product’s website:

“I have three big labs. I was pulling out the vacuum everyday to pick up hair. Now I simply sweep the hair to the Eye-Vac and dump the receptacle once a week. Worth every penny of the very reasonable price.”
