Traffic jams are the worst — unless you can have a Backstreet Boys song to cheer you up.
Wendy Chupp Gossett of Colorado was stuck in traffic with her kids for over four hours. The mom told WGN 9 News that her son, Nathan, who was sitting in the front passenger seat was “totally stressed” and just wanted to get where they were going. She knew just the thing to lighten his mood — or so she hoped.
The mom hopped out of the car and started dancing while blasting “Everybody” by Backstreet Boys. She asked her son to get out of the car and dance, too, because, as she said to him, “When are you ever going to get to do this again?”
Her son wasn’t in the mood for dancing in the cold, however, and his reaction to his mom’s enthusiasm is priceless.
See the video from Gossett’s Facebook:
There was someone who was amused by the mom’s dance moves, however. None other than Nick Carter responded to the video on Twitter:
“OMG!! Get back in your car lol. Ps. Nice jam,” the singer wrote.

Even if her son wasn’t too impressed, plenty of others loved the mom’s moves. Many found this total mom moment to be hilarious and something they might even see themselves doing with their kids.
Twitter user @SteffyG30 pointed out the mom’s great dance moves and revealed that her daughter “loves the Backstreet Boys as much as [she] does.”
Im dying laughing 🤣 he looks mortified- great song & moves. Lucky for me my daughter loves @backstreetboys as much as I do but she’s 10 lol 😂

Others were impressed she didn’t fall, despite the icy conditions!
Twitter user @Pep_pep926 had the perfect GIF to summarize how this could have gone down if the mom weren’t so coordinated:

Twitter user @wishingmary1316 also couldn’t help but cheer the mom on.
“GO MOM … this is so awesome,” the tweet read.
Hahahaha GO MOM 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 this is so awesome 😎

Gossett herself couldn’t help but respond to Carter (who could blame her?!). She tweeted the Backstreet Boy back, writing, “How could I stay in the car as I heard, ‘Everybody, rock your body??'”
She continued, “Your song is now our family anthem! ‘Rough day? Rock your body!'”
How could I stay in the car as I heard, "Everybody, rock your body??" Those truckers and other disgruntled motorists needed a little BSB jam to brighten their day! Your song is now our family anthem! "Rough day? Rock your body!"

And she’s definitely not wrong about this song serving as an instant mood-booster!
If you thought the song “Everybody” was enough of a feel-good song in and of itself, you’re really going to get a kick out of the version where the Backstreet Boys — excuse me, I mean the Bawkstreet Boys — perform this song dressed as chickens.

Yep. Whether you perform this in traffic or in a chicken suit, there’s no denying it — this song will pretty much always put you in a better mood.
