This Waco House Designed by Joanna Gaines is on the Market
Just because “Fixer Upper” wrapped doesn’t mean Joanna Gaines has shelved her shiplap. The HGTV darling has been hard at work in Waco, Texas, with husband Chip and their five children.
Her latest design project hit the market this week. Though the TV cameras weren’t rolling, Gaines put her signature style all over a 3,000-square-foot ranch home that is now for sale in Waco. The house is listed for $529,000 by Shelly Negrete, who works for the Gaines’ real estate company Magnolia Realty. Built in the 1960s, the Tudor-style abode has five bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms.
Sneak Peek
Gaines shared a sneak peek on her Instagram account last week with a picture showcasing the kitchen. Her photo shows a clean, modern design with open shelving and white cabinets accented by dark hardware and metal appliances, perfect for whipping up a batch of Gaines’ chocolate chip cookies. With shiplap lining the wall and an oversized island, the kitchen clearly has her stylish touch.

Magnolia Realty shared the same kitchen photo on Instagram, along with a photo of the living room, complete with a wraparound fireplace and mantel. (Click the arrow in the photo to see the living room.) On the opposite walls are oversized windows, letting in lots of Texas sunlight.

Clean And Classic
The Magnolia Realty caption gave a few more hints about design details waiting behind the bright turquoise front door. The home was completely renovated with “clean, classic finishes” and “elevated features,” like the pendant lights and sink fixtures. The real estate company’s website features plenty more images of the house.
Gaines included plenty of storage throughout the design. There are built-in mudroom shelves (shown below), a walk-through pantry, built-in bedroom cabinets and more.
Passion Project
That’s not all Gaines has been cooking up lately, as her design book is finally finished, too. “Homebody: A Guide to Creating Spaces You Never Want to Leave” comes out Nov. 6.

We can’t wait! And until the book hits shelves this fall, we’ll be watching reruns of “Fixer Upper” and “Fixer Upper: Behind the Design.”
