Thomas Rhett and Lauren Akins Look So Happy In Photos From Their Romantic Italian Vacation

Thomas Rhett and Lauren Akins have been busy touring — along with raising two kids under the age of 3 — so let’s just say they’ve earned themselves a little vacation time. The couple has been posting to social media while away in Italy together, and they couldn’t look happier.

The parents of 2-year-old Willa Gray and 1-year-old Ada James seem to be vacationing alone together and getting in some quality time.

Based on the Instagram evidence, these two love each other just as much as they did when they first got together. They can be seen kissing near Capri’s Faraglioni rock, swimming together and completely enjoying each other’s company.

“Legend says that couples who kiss while passing under Capri’s Faraglioni ‘kissing rock’ will stay together forever … so we did it! Thennnnn just kept going, because, when in Italy right?!” Akins wrote on Instagram.

It’s great to see this pair so obviously in love with each other, though it’s not surprising to see them so happy. The couple dated briefly when they were 15 years old, but they’ve known each other since they were first graders.

Once they rekindled their relationship in their late teens, it didn’t take long for the couple to fall in love.

“We kissed, and that was it. We dated for probably six months, and we got engaged,” Rhett told Country Living.

Then in 2012, when they were both 22, they got married.

Since they said “I do,” Rhett’s been inspired by his wife and their love. He’s written several songs about her, including “Die A Happy Man,” where Akins starred in the music video alongside her husband.

When it comes to showing their love in this video, they weren’t acting or playing it up for the camera.

“It really is just us,” Rhett told People magazine. “We just hung around and did exactly what we would do if a camera was on us or not, except for the scenes where they’re telling us to kiss underwater — that’s something we don’t typically do!”

After six years of marriage and two kids, this couple is still showcasing their love for each other in the cutest ways. We couldn’t be happier for them!
