Thomas Rhett and his wife Lauren Akins are expecting baby No. 3

Congratulations are in order for country singer Thomas Rhett and his wife Lauren Akins! Their family is expanding to include another little one, and the parents have already announced the sex of the baby. They will officially become the parents to three girls as soon as their latest bundle of joy arrives.

The proud parents took to Instagram to share the news of Akins’ pregnancy, and they couldn’t be more excited.

Akins shared a set of adorable family photos that show soon-to-be big sisters Willa Gray and Ada James lovingly kissing and holding onto their mom’s growing belly. The Instagram post also included a video of the exact moment the couple found out that they’re going to be parents to not just two but three girls:

“We decided we didn’t have enough princess dresses around the house so we’re adding another Akins baby girl to the family early next year,” the mom wrote. She also commented on her husband’s absolute shock about the fact that he’ll be surrounded (by) all females. “[D]espite Thomas Rhett’s initial shock … we are absolutely over the moon for our baby girl!”

She also noted that her daughters are excited to fill their roles as big sisters. “Our girls cannot wait to meet their little sister,” she wrote. “Willa Gray prays for her every night (heart in a puddle every time) & she and Ada James love to touch my belly and talk to her — especially [because] I’ve been showing since I was SEVEN weeks. So it feels like we have been hiding this secret for an ETERNITY.”

The couple adopted 3-year-old Willa Gray in May 2017, and shortly after, they welcomed Ada James in August 2017. Now, nearly two years later, they’re ready to bring another baby girl into the mix! With two little ones at home, you know they already have all of their baby gear sorted, at least.

Rhett shared the news with fans on Instagram writing, “Excited to share that I will now be paying for 3 weddings,” the dad joked.  “I feel so blessed to say that our third child is on the way and it’s a girl!! I love you so much @laur_akins”:

He also pointed out that his daughters are going to be great older siblings to their third child.

“WG and AJ, y’all are gonna be the best big sisters,” he wrote. He also mentioned he’s ready for what comes next, writing, “Bring on the crazy.”

As “crazy” as it may feel to raise three children close in age, the parents are more than prepared for whatever comes their way, mostly because they know just how strong of a bond their kids will share. “As hard as it is having the two of them so close together, it’s also amazing,” Akins told Us Weekly of Willa Gray and Ada James in 2018. “I love that they have each other. It is very, very sweet.”

At the time, she also said they needed to pump the brakes before having more kids. “I have always wanted a full house. I don’t know how we will do it again. We are definitely going to have a little break.”

Seems like now the couple’s up for the challenge! Congratulations to this growing family!
