Tia Mowry’s recipe for stuffed pesto chicken breasts looks so good

Tia Mowry, who first came to the attention of the American viewing public through classic ’90s sitcom “Sister, Sister,” knows a few things about the life of a busy mother. She and her husband Corey Hardrict have two beautiful children: 3-year-old daughter Cairo and 10-year-old son Cree.

You can clearly see Mowry’s bond with her children if you follow her posts on social media. Her Instagram feed is filled with images of the real-life experiences and lessons that come with parenting young children. She has even shared her own challenges of what being a mom in her 40s is like — every new mother can relate to a lack of sleep and post-pregnancy body issues!

Now, Mowry’s latest project involves a subject that so many parents can sink their teeth into: cooking for the family!

Her new book “The Quick Fix Kitchen: Easy Recipes & Time-Saving Tips for a Healthier, Stress-Free Life” was inspired by conversations she had with other new moms who were struggling with ideas on how to feed their children.

“The evolution of this book was such an incredible journey,” she told Simplemost. “Ever since becoming a mother, there was always some conversation that takes place about feeding our kids. ‘What do you feed your children? Do you cook?’ I do cook and I really wanted to inspire others.”

Mowry said the recipes in the book had to be practical and easy for cooks at any level to make.

“We may be busy, but that doesn’t mean we can’t put delicious stress-free meals on the table,” she said.

One of her favorite recipes from the cookbook is Sheet PanCakes.

Using a sheet pan to make these pancakes allows for easy, hands-off cooking after a 15-minute prep time. Once they’re done, everyone in the family can add the toppings they like and customize their own breakfast.

“This recipe is a perfect example of quick fixing: It’s fun, it easily caters to everyone’s preferences in one fell swoop, lets kids go wild, and offers up a group activity for everyone,” the recipe’s description says. Mowry was kind enough to share it with Simplemost.
