Tostitos is introducing spicy queso-flavored tortilla chips

If you’ve ever faced the tough decision of whether to dunk your tortilla chip in queso or salsa, I’m happy to report that you no longer have to decide. Tostitos now has the perfect solution — spicy queso tortilla chips you can dip in salsa so you can have both awesome flavors at the same time.

Tostitos’ new bite-sized Hint of Spicy Queso tortilla chips are hitting shelves nationwide this month for around $4.29 for a 12-ounce bag. While you can obviously just eat them straight out of the bag for queso flavor, they would also make a great complement for dips and salsa or, of course, more queso!

It actually sounds like these chips would also go perfect with another new product from Tostitos — Avocado Salsa. Their new avocado salsa is made with both real avocados and chunks of garden vegetables, merging your average guacamole with a thick and chunky salsa. Can you even imagine what it would be like if you added queso flavor to that mix?

The avocado salsa is a permanent addition to the brand’s lineup of dips and is available now in 15-ounce jars for a suggested retail price of $3.99.

The new Tostitos chips aren’t the only queso chips on the market. Mission makes queso jalapeno tortilla chips if you like things a little spicy and Paqui also has a spicy queso tortilla chip. The brand Late July, meanwhile, has buffalo queso chips that combine hot and savory buffalo spices with organic cheddar cheese.

Of course, you could also simply make your own queso to go with regular tortilla chips. This recipe from Cooking Classy calls for just three ingredients: cheddar cheese, cornstarch and half and half.

If you like some heat, however, this spicy sriracha queso from Foody Schmoody might be more to your liking. You could even serve your queso on these slow-cooker queso chicken tacos to make it part of a quick and easy meal.

So are you team queso or team salsa?
