Travelers Have Spoken: These Are The 10 Best Islands In The World

When it comes to vacationing, heading to an island—almost any island, really—usually means you’re in for a good time.

But according to Travel + Leisure’s World’s Best Awards 2016, there are 10 islands that stand above the rest. The travel magazine surveyed readers and asked them to weigh in on their travel experiences. One portion asked readers to rank their favorite islands according to activities, natural attractions, beaches, food, friendliness and overall value.

The quick takeaway? It looks like the Philippines are the place to be right now, with three of its islands making the top 10 list. The United States has a few of their own gems as well. Keep reading to get the full list, then start saving so you can visit one (or all!).

1. Palawan, Philippines
