# How Many Triangles Can You Find In This Picture?

Triangles are my favorite of the shapes.

Just think of all the cool things that are shaped like triangles: slices of pie, tortilla chips, cheese wedges, the yellow bird from “Angry Birds,” and the cover of Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side of the Moon.”

There are also mysterious triangles like the pyramids, the Bermuda Triangle and Phil Jackson’s offense.

## Triangle Puzzle—Are You Stumped?

Hey, speaking of triangle mysteries, here is a brain teaser recently posted by Quora that has been making the rounds on the internet lately.

The image shows a large triangle broken up into smaller triangles:

So just how many triangles are there? Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to total up all of the triangles in this photo, including the triangles made up of other triangles.

I’ll give you some time to count them all.

In the meantime, here is a montage of my favorite triangles in the world: slices of pizza.

Mmm pizza… What were we talking about again? Oh, right, a brain teaser.

## How Many Triangles?

There are *SPOILER ALERT* a total of 24 triangles in this puzzle. You can see an illustration of all 24 here if you don’t trust me.

And if you want to delve deep into the math, you can check out the discussion on Quora.

Now, there are some people who want to count the word “triangle” as well as the “A” in the signature to bring the number of triangles to 26, but we are not going to do that. Let’s not get too cute here.

## Other Puzzles To Test Your Brain

Want more shape related puzzles? Here is a similar puzzle, except with squares.

There is also a puzzle here where you will need to find the circles. So many shapes!

Here’s another one with owls. Can you find the cat?

And one with snowmen. Can you find the panda?

Now if you will excuse me, I am going to slice this circular pizza into triangles and see how many of those triangles I can fit in my belly. Math is fun.

## Wheel of Fortune Puzzle Stumps Internet

If you’re in the mood for another puzzle—because, hey, right not?—here’s one that made the rounds on the internet from Wheel of Fortune earlier this year.

From its humble beginnings as a daytime show in the 1970s to its cult following today, Wheel of Fortune has earned the nickname “America’s Game.”

A podcast host who goes by the Twitter handle “Twitter’s Good Boy” shared a screenshot of the unfortunate puzzle, which has had thousands of likes, retweets and guesses.
