This treehouse-style resort was named 2019’s best hotel in the world by TripAdvisor
There are plenty of amazing hotels out there, but only one can claim the title of Top Travelers’ Choice Hotel in the World from TripAdvisor. This year’s winner is Tulemar, a stunning treehouse-style resort in Quepos, Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica.
The awards are based on the millions of reviews from travelers collected by the site over the period of a year. TripAdvisor has recognized 7,812 properties in 94 countries in the 17th year of the awards.
Tulemar has a five-star rating with more than 3,000 reviews on TripAdvisor. Perched on a hillside overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the 33-acre resort is located in a lush jungle setting and offers access to a private beach, complete with free lounge chairs, umbrellas, kayaks, boogie boards and towels, as well as food and beverage service.
You can see a variety of wildlife throughout the properly’s hiking trails, including sloths, exotic birds and monkeys.
In addition to all the natural splendor, the resort has plenty in the way of amenities, including a personal concierge, four pools (including one for adults only), a full-service restaurant, a beach bar and access to a private chef. You can also book in-room spa services.
As for the accommodations, there are nine original Tulemar bungalows. The resort is also home to a number of privately owned vacation homes. Tulemar handles reservations for almost all of the homes available for rent.
