You Have To Try This Irresistable Fried Smashed Potato Recipe

Ok, so you’ve heard of potato skins. And mashed potatoes. Well, this recipe combines these two and creates a recipe that’s the best of both worlds.

Crispy, yet soft and covered in cheese to boot? Yeah, you’ve got to add this one to the recipe box, stat!

Better Homes & Gardens is who you have to thank for bringing this potato goodness into your life. And because I’m sure your mouth is watering as we speak, let’s delve into this recipe for fried smashed potatoes, shall we?

Start by bringing 12 red potatoes to a boil and simmering for 25 to 30 minutes or until potatoes are tender.

Then, spread the potatoes out on a baking sheet. Using a potato masher or the bottom of a glass, press the potatoes until they’re slightly flattened.

Brush with oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Then bake them according to their special recipe instructions. You’ll need to flip them and add some cheese & other delicious goodness and pop them back int he oven again for a few minutes.
