This unicorn cocktail is the perfect adult beverage for summer
The Starbucks Unicorn Frappuccino craze may have died down, but that doesn’t mean you have to stop sipping on magical treats.
While you can recreate the Unicorn Frapp at home, isn’t about time you started enjoying your unicorn beverages in an all new, adult kind of way?
I introduce to you the Loco Unicorn Cocktail brought to you by Captain Morgan. It uses the new Captain Morgan LocoNut coconut-flavored rum along with coconut water and colorful add-ins to bring you a drink you’re sure to love sippin’ on.
Captain Morgan LocoNut is made with Caribbean rum, coconut liqueur, spices and natural flavors. So, this unicorn-inspired drink will not only look amazing, but it’ll also taste like coconut, and honestly, it doesn’t get more fun than that, does it?
This coconut specialty drink is going for a suggested retail price of $14.99 per bottle and can be found in a alcoholic beverage store near you (provided you are 21, of course). Once you’ve got the LocoNut, all you need is coconut water, grenadine and Curacao liqueur to bring the magic to life. Of course, you can add some edible glitter for fun, if you’d like, too. (And, really—why wouldn’t you?)
Get ready for all of the cotton candy color and coconut taste you can handle. One very special adult drink is coming right up! Here’s the full recipe:
Ingredients:
- 6 oz. Coconut Water
- 2 oz. Captain Morgan LocoNut
- 0.25 oz. Grenadine
- 0.25 oz. Genuine Curacao Liqueur
Steps:
- Wet the rim of a 13 oz. highball glass with water and dip the glass in edible glitter to form a rim. (Optional). Another suggestion: Use sugar or fine coconut shavings to line the rim instead.
- Fill the glass with ice, and then add the coconut water and Captain Morgan LocoNut. Stir with a straw or spoon. Drizzle the grenadine over the cocktail first so it sits at the bottom, and then drizzle the Curacao second, so it sits on the top.
And there you have it! Told you your love for unicorn treats didn’t have to come to an end! Now, who’s feeling thirsty?
