Airbnb is a great source for finding unique places to stay on a budget. Penny Hoarder recently found these Airbnb listings for under $100. But what if even $100 is beyond your budget? Well, Airbnb offers plenty of places to crash for less than $50 a night—and the lower price tag usually means the uniqueness factor actually increases. Read on for the most unique places to stay on a budget in every state and you’ll see what I mean…
1. Alabama
Where: Roberts Retreat, Town Creek

This place looks like Lincoln Logs come to life. And you can play with the owner’s chainsaw.
2. Alaska
Where: Glacier House Tree House, Fairbanks
$30/night
A treehouse with no heating. In Alaska. Good luck.
3. Arizona
Where: Cozy “Ghost Town” Miner Cabin, Tombstone
$49/night
This is a “1900s authentic ghost town miner cabin.” You even have access to an old-timey jail.
4. Arkansas
Where: Private Primitive Camping, Eureka Springs
$15/night
This one comes with an air mattress and hammock set up, but you can also have the owner set up your tent/campsite for you before you arrive. Looks gorgeous. And you can be naked—”No one will see you or judge you.”
5. California
Where: Sleep tight in the ENO Hammock!, Bakersfield

It’s a hammock hung outside the couple’s home. You can also sleep with their cat.
6. Colorado

Not only do you sleep in a hammock, you’re living with other cool people. And there are no walls, so you experience this thing called fresh air.
Honorable Mention: This Bali hut looks pretty cool, and Hawaii is very unique, so this was a tough decision.

It says it’s a cabin. But really, it’s a tent that’s built like a cabin.

Someone put up their gingerbread house for rent on Airbnb. “Not for diabetic tenants, height restriction of under 3 inches tall.”
For real though: Sleep on an air mattress inside a 1927 castle. “There is no moat to cross at this castle!”

Feel like a beautiful butterfly when you emerge after sleeping in this cocoon. It hangs from a beam and can carry 350 pounds.
