Use This Quick Trick And Never Buy Uncomfortable Heels Again

Ladies, you never have to buy uncomfortable shoes again. There is a two-second trick that will keep you from buying heels that cause hours of pain. And don’t worry, you don’t have to try them on in person either. You can pull this off when shopping in-store or online.

SheFinds.com says it’s all about the distance from the sole to the heel. That’s it! All you have to do is look at the shoe to know whether it’s going to cause your feet serious misery.

Here’s what you do if you’re shopping at the store: Ask a salesperson for a tape measure, or better yet keep one handy in your purse. Ebay has a “keychain tape measure” for sale right now for about $2.

But why? The greater the distance between the sole and the heel, the more comfortable the shoe will be. Ideally the length will be at least 3 centimeters. According to Glamour, this distance dictates the pitch or incline of a shoe.

The shorter the distance, the higher the pitch and the more weight transferred onto your toes. Yep, you know that feeling after hours of walking in heels. This even applies to seemingly comfier shoes like low heels or wedges.

Make sure to ask your salesperson if the shoe runs true to size. SheFinds.com also advises shoppers to wear new heels around in the store, and order your exact size if they’re not in stock.

Now for the online shoppers: Since you can’t physically measure the shoe, you can measure the computer screen and compare it to other heels on the same site. The same rule applies. The heels with the longer distance from heel to sole will be more comfortable than heels with the shorter distance.

Give it a try next time you’re in the shoe department. A quick, simple measurement will potentially save you from hours of agony!
