The ventriloquist who won ‘America’s Got Talent’ has an amazing singing voice

Over the years, “America’s Got Talent” has showcased some of the best, brightest and most unique performers the nation has to offer. Season 12 was no exception, featuring singing ventriloquist Darci Lynne Farmer. The 12-year-old Oklahoma native wowed audiences with her impressive ability to belt out tunes without even opening her mouth.

Here she is performing a duet of “Anything You Can Do (I Can Do Better)” with famed fellow ventriloquist and one of her personal idols, Terry Fator, during the show’s finale episode:

People were so enamored with Farmer’s abilities, she ended up winning the entire competition. Watch the dramatic moment when an emotional Farmer learns she is the ultimate victor in the reality competition series, and would go on to star in a headlining show in Las Vegas.

If fans of the young powerhouse thought her voice sounded good with her mouth closed, they were really blown away when Farmer got the opportunity to display the full range of her voice when she was invited to sing the national anthem at an OKC Energy FC soccer game at Taft Stadium in her hometown of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on Oct. 15. As the winner of “America’s Got Talent,” Farmer will receive $1 million, and she already has plans for how she will spend it. “First, I’m absolutely giving some money to the mission program at church,” she said. “Second, I’m definitely going to give my mom a dishwasher because it doesn’t work and we need a new one. Then I want a pug really, really bad,” she told KFOR in September.
