Walmart’s line of Halloween baking kits look like so much fun

Walmart

Halloween might look a bit different this year, but that only means finding creative, new ways to inject some spooky fun into your family’s October routines. Walmart has an easy and affordable offering that will help kids and parents make sweet, edible ghosts together, and all you need is the kit, some egg whites and some parchment paper.

The Great Value ghost meringue kit is available in stores and online. It includes a meringue mix that you blend with your egg whites, a piping bag that you can use to pipe out perfect swirly ghosts, and a black icing pen to draw on phantom faces. The kit gives you supplies to whip up a dozen of the sugary specters.

And if you want to spend the day together preparing goodies for the season, Walmart’s got you covered with an entire line of Halloween-themed baking kits.

Walmart’s Great Value candy corn sugar cookie kit includes enough cookie mix and food coloring gel to make 20 tri-colored cookies.

The Great Value skull sugar cookie kit supplies cookie mix, white icing, a black icing pen and a skull-shaped cookie cutter for you to bake a dozen cookies.

And the Great Value Midnight Bat Chocolate Cookie Kit includes chocolate cookie mix, purple icing, a black icing pen and a bat-shaped cookie cutter to make eight cookies.

All of these mixes require butter, eggs and your waiting oven. (The brand also sells a Halloween-sprinkle pancake mix, to which you only add water.)

So far, the reviews on these delightfully eerie treats are good.

“The kids LOVE it,” a reviewer named Maggie commented on the Ghost Meringue kit. “Such a super fast and easy project for my kids to do! They just had to open the box before October!”

“My kids and I had so much fun making these cookies,” posted a reviewer named Lydia. “It was the perfect way to get an early taste of Halloween.”

The kits are available at Walmart.com and in stores for $4.97 apiece.
