8 spooktacular Walt Disney World Halloween treats

Walt Disney World has some tremendous tricks in store when it comes to Halloween treats this season! In fact, the theme park resort already has the holiday spirit going on! On Aug. 25, the Magic Kingdom hosted its first Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party of the year. Part of the Halloween fun is finding the creative and delicious sweets around the park.

The Disney Parks Blog shared a sample of some of the spooky snacks available at this year’s party. With 31 more party nights scheduled between now and Nov. 1, guests have plenty of time to find their favorite!

1. Mickey Mouse Halloween Cinnamon Roll

Baked into the iconic shape of Mickey Mouse’s head, this cinnamon roll looks large enough to cover a child’s face! A generous drizzle of orange glaze and a chocolate spider web in the middle give it the Halloween flair. Head over to the Main Street Bakery to grab this gooey treat! As a bonus, Main Street Bakery sells this all day, every day. No party invitation required!

2. Halloween Mickey Cupcake

Another all-day treat served at the Main Street Bakery is the Halloween Mickey Cupcake. This chocolate cupcake has a purple marshmallow fluff filling. On top, you’ll enjoy an orange-colored vanilla buttercream and a white chocolate Mickey Mouse scarecrow.

3. Mickey Pumpkin Cheesecake Dome

Nothing says fall and Halloween like pumpkin! This party-exclusive treat brings together traditional pumpkin flavor and yummy cheesecake (yes, please!). A graham cracker crust forms the foundation of the domed pumpkin cheesecake. And, an orange white-chocolate Mickey jack-o-lantern tops it off! Party guests can find this at Gaston’s Tavern in Fantasyland.

4. Pumpkin Mickey Mouse Waffle Sundae

Mickey Waffles are already a Walt Disney World classic snack. For Halloween, the Magic Kingdom took them to the next level. This sundae is made with pumpkin Mickey waffles, vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, sprinkles and caramel sauce. Didn’t that get better with every ingredient? Be prepared for long lines at the Sleepy Hollow booth in Liberty Square. These are sure to be popular!

5. Haunted Mansion Portrait Tarts

Ok, as a Walt Disney World fan, I have to say these not only look delicious, but have a major cool factor! The Haunted Mansion in Liberty Square brings in thousands of guests each day at the Magic Kingdom. These new desserts pay homage to the iconic attraction.

Guests can enjoy four different flavors and portraits:

  • A chocolate and peanut butter tart with the quicksand stretching room portrait. These can be found at Liberty Square Market.
  • Over at Aloha Isle in Adventureland, pick up an Oreo chocolate tart with the dynamite stretching room portrait.
  • Next, there’s the lemon and strawberry ganache graveyard stretching room chocolate tart. Storybook Treats in Fantasyland sells these yummy desserts.
  • Last but not least, Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies in Tomorrowland sells the raspberry chocolate Haunted Mansion wallpaper tart.

All four of these look incredible and almost too pretty to eat. Almost…

6. Jack Skellington Dessert

The main character from “A Nightmare Before Christmas” usually only pops up during the Walt Disney World Halloween season. How appropriate that his dessert is a push-pop treat! Jack sits on top of the treat, which gets filled with vanilla panna cotta, vanilla crisp pearls, chocolate cake, vanilla buttercream, chocolate crisp pearls, whipped cream and chocolate curls. It looks delicious (and adorable), but the Disney Food Blog gave it a meh review.

7. Walt Disney World Halloween Worms ‘n Dirt

Kids love the classic chocolate snack with gummy worms. The Walt Disney World Halloween version serves it graveyard-style. It includes chocolate cake, chocolate mousse, chocolate glaze, Oreo crumbs, a chocolate gravestone and gummy worms. Sugar overload and a chocoholics dream! Head over to Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe in Frontierland to get this to-die-for snack.

8. Chocolate Dipped Rice Krispy Treat

This treat may not have the most creative design, but I’m sure simple things are delicious, too! This classic cereal square gets a healthy dose of chocolate dip and Halloween sprinkles. Hungry guests can find them on carts around the Magic Kingdom.
