Watch This Hero Smash A Window To Rescue A Dog From A Hot Car

A bystander became a hero recently when he took matters into his own hands and rescued a dog from hot car in Canada.

Per UPROXX, the community was gathered to commemorate the unveiling of a new bandshell when some people noticed a small, white dog locked in the back of a BMW. The outside temperature was somewhere around 86 degrees Fahrenheit.

Event organizers tried to locate the owners of the car to no avail, and that’s when this story’s hero sprang into action. The man in the video is shown throwing a boulder at the car’s passenger window until it breaks and the dog is able to be freed.

Those on the scene reported that the dog was “in rough shape” when they got to him, and that the owners didn’t show up for another 50 minutes. Local police were called and arrived on the scene around the same time as the owners, who were apparently “confused and embarrassed.”

The police asked the owners, a couple, to accompany them to the local station. No word on whether animal cruelty charges were filed.
