Watch Jennifer Lopez and Jimmy Fallon dance fast to slow songs

Jimmy Fallon never disappoints as the host of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” and it’s hard not to have an amazing episode when your guest star is Jennifer Lopez. Of course, the two talked about the artist’s upcoming music — but Fallon couldn’t let Lopez leave the set without also challenging her to a dance-off.

In this hilarious segment, both Fallon and Lopez challenged themselves to dance at a fast pace to some iconic slow songs. This was an interesting challenge, to say the least — but, as you might imagine, it wound up being completely hilarious, and Lopez walked away with the win.

See how it all went down here:

They danced to songs such as “Babe” by Styx and “MacArthur’s Park” by Richard Harris. And then, for the grand finale, Lopez and Fallon danced together to “Reunited” by Peaches & Herb.

Aside from their dance-off, they chatted about what’s in the works for Lopez, and she shared that a song called “Deniro” would be coming out very soon. But the song Fallon (and really everyone) wanted to hear about was “El Anillo,” which means “the ring.”

Naturally, the conversation then moved to her relationship with former baseball player Alex Rodriguez. Lopez said she’s ready for it (“it” being “the ring”) — but “no pressure.”

“All women kind of get to a point where they say, ‘OK, what’s up?,'” Lopez said when addressing the song. “I feel like you know fairly quickly.”

Does that mean a proposal is in the future for Lopez and Rodriguez? Well, Rodriguez appeared on the talk show with Fallon the next night and addressed the question for himself:

“When it happens — Jimmy, you’ll be the first to know,” he said.

Operative word being “when!”

Regardless of whether or when a future wedding might occur, the couple seems to be extremely happy together. The reason they click?

“We are very much twins,” Rodriguez told Vanity Fair. “We’re both Leos; we’re both from New York; we’re both Latino and about 20 other things.”

Lopez also told Vanity Fair, “I understand him in a way that I don’t think anyone else could, and he understands me in a way that no one else could ever. In his 20s, he came into big success with the biggest baseball contract [at the time]. I had a No. 1 movie and a No. 1 album and made history. We both had ups and downs and challenges in our 30s, and by our 40s we’d both been through so much. And more importantly than anything, we had both done a lot of work on ourselves.”

So, if the time comes that these two get married, that will be fantastic — but for now, they’re just enjoying each other as they are.

How sweet!
