The White House released a proclamation from President Joe Biden on May 31 ahead of June’s Pride Month.

The Biden administration said that the announcement is meant to focus on the “progress we have made as a Nation in the fight for justice, inclusion, and equality” and is meant to “celebrate generations of LGBTQI+ people who have fought to make the possibilities of our Nation real for every American.”
