Will Smith’s entire family came with him to the ‘Aladdin’ premiere
It was a family affair for Will Smith at the Los Angeles premiere of the new live-action movie “Aladdin.” Smith happily posed alongside his all three of his adult kids: 26-year-old Trey, 20-year-old Jaden, and 18-year-old Willow.
He also planted on-camera kisses on wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, who dressed up for the occasion with a very on-theme outfit. Pinkett Smith donned a blue gemstone-studded crop top with matching blue harem pants and strappy silver heeled sandals, a look that some people think is inspired by Smith’s Genie character in the movie, but is also a bit reminiscent of Princess Jasmine’s favored outfit!

Smith also invited his other “family” to the premiere — his former co-stars from “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.” Tatyana Ali and Alfonso Ribeiro, who played Ashley and Carlton on the 1990s TV sitcom, brought their young kids to see the flick and support Smith.
Posing for pictures together, it was like a mini “Fresh Prince” reunion at the “Aladdin” premiere!
In the new movie, Smith takes on the role that Robin Williams made famous in the animated 1992 film and has stated that he was at first hesitant to sign on to the film.
“He didn’t want to be insensitive to the memory of Robin [Williams], and what [he] had created,” director Guy Richie told Yahoo. “So Will was adamant that he had to be different, and not go near that particular incarnation. But I was pretty confident that Will could deliver Will. And that was my job, my job was to encourage Will to be Will.”
Here’s an image from the premiere of some of the cast, standing with Walt Disney Studios executives. To the left of Smith are Naomi Scott and Mena Massoud, who play Jasmine and Aladdin. Alan Menken, who composed the original music, is in the lower right.
At the premiere, Smith stated that he “loved” the new film and was excited for people to see it.
“This is a beautiful night, it’s been a long time coming,” said Smith, as reported in Good Morning America. “Two years to get here, and I’m on this red carpet with a movie that I love and I’m excited to have the world see it.”
Actually, though, it was a purple carpet! “Aladdin” opens Friday, May 24 at theaters nationwide. Are you planning to see the live-action reboot?
