Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton — also known as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge — have shared new photos and a video of their family that show that little Prince Louis is now walking!

In images posted to the Kensington Palace Instagram account on May 19, you can see the toddling little prince, who turned 1 on April 23, 2019.

In the video below, Prince Louis holds hands with his sister, Prince Charlotte, and his dad, Prince William, as they walk with Middleton and their eldest child, Prince George. The family explores the woodland garden that the duchess co-designed at this year’s Chelsea Flower Show in London.

The video at @kensingtonroyal also shows Prince George and Princess Charlotte enjoying a rope ball swing, creek, branch shelter and a campfire in the woodland.

In one of the still photos also posted to the Kensington Palace Instagram account, Prince Louis heads joyfully towards the camera brandishing a long stick as Prince William looks on with an amused expression behind him.

The next image in the slide shows the family having fun in the natural setting with Middleton at right helping to guide little Louis as he walks.

The duchess hinted at the fact that Prince Louis was walking when she recently told a story about the little prince at play. “I turned around the other day and he was at the top of the slide – I had no idea!” she said at a May 14 event, as reported by Metro.

As Catherine explained in the @kensingtonroyal post, the Royal Horticultural Society’s Back to Nature Garden at the Chelsea Flower Show expresses the importance of exposing young children to nature and outdoor play.

“I really feel that nature and being interactive outdoors has huge benefits on our physical and mental wellbeing, particularly for young children,” she was quoted as saying in the Instagram post, which referenced her interview with the BBC. “I really hope that this woodland that we have created really inspires families, kids and communities to get outside, enjoy nature and the outdoors, and spend quality time together.”

Her children certainly seemed to be enjoying the woodland, as seen in all the fun Instagram images.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte had fun dipping their feet in the creek and exploring a small waterfall. All three kids were shown swinging on a rope swing. Their mother also got a turn on it!

“Over the past months, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis have helped The Duchess gather moss, leaves and twigs to help decorate @The_RHS Back to Nature Garden,” the Instagram post said. “Hazel sticks collected by the family were also used to make the garden’s den.”

These aren’t the only adorable photos that the royals have shared of their kids lately. In honor of Princess Charlotte’s fourth birthday, the Duke and Duchess shared several portraits of their daughter via their official Instagram account:
