Wilmer Valderrama is engaged

On New Year’s Day 2020, actor Wilder Valderrama and model Amanda Pacheco got engaged. Valderrama took to Instagram to share the good news, where he posted a photo of the romantic proposal, which took place on some rocks jutting into the ocean in La Jolla, California.

“‘It’s just us now,'” he writes beneath the photo that captures the moment. You can see him popping the question while on bended knee, the picturesque landscape stretching out behind them.

Friends of the couple congratulated the pair in the comments, including actor Gabrielle Union, celebrity photographer Nino Munoz, and musician Kevin Jonas, who simply commented with several clapping hands emojis.

Valderrama and Pacheco were first linked as a couple back in May 2019. They had been spotted shopping together in Los Angeles back in April and it was also noted that they’d begun following each other on Instagram.

“I gotta say that I am very happy in my life,” Valderrama told Entertainment Tonight in November 2019. “In this very moment, I feel like, it’s so interesting, you work so far for so long and you feel like all of a sudden you’re starting over again. And in my career, specifically in my personal life, I am very happy where I am at. I think I have grown up to be the man that I am meant to be. I am the most grounded that I’ve ever been. I’m the most excited and the most energetic about what’s ahead of me. I’m ready for the next chapter.”

In September 2019, when Valderrama was in Georgia to film a movie, Pacheco flew in to surprise him with an impromptu date night. The actor shared a photo of the two of them together. “You got me,” he wrote in the caption.
