This Wine Workout Could Be Just The Thing To Get You Moving

After a long day of work, the last thing most of us want to do is exercise. What do we really want to do? Put on our sweatpants and have a glass of wine. Ahh, that sounds nice. But, what if I told you there was a way you could do a little of what you wanted to do and a little of what you probably should do at the same time?

Enter: the wine workout. Yes, that’s correct. A fitness routine that allows you to indulge at the same time. Sounds like something you’d be willing to give a try, right?

Well, health coach April Storey sure hopes so. Ok, so the video that went viral was partly made to be comical, but it’s also to prove you don’t have to give up the things you love in order to be fit. Because there’s room for what you want and what you need in life.

And this workout is exhibit A. “I have noticed that the fitness videos normally show these incredibly fit athletes performing these intimidating workout moves and the majority of the population can’t relate to that. The majority of us are just every day students, employees, dads, and moms trying to find that balance between reaching our health goals and also enjoying the things we love. They liked the video because it embodied that. Plus, it was funny,” Storey told The Observer.

Let’s see how this routine is done, shall we? Glasses full, ready and go. Just lift and sip. Yep, I could get used to this!
