With state fair canceled, Wisconsin is selling fair food at a drive-thru

Even though the Wisconsin State Fair is canceled, you will still be able to get more of those absolute “must-have” items to ease the disappointment.

Wisconsin State Fair Park officials detailed three new offerings in a release that are part of the State Fair Necessities presented by U.S. Cellular.

The Fair Food Drive-Thru presented by Bank Five Nine focuses on the fair’s history of offering offbeat food items. Open Thursday through Sunday for four straight weeks, State Fair food vendors will be stationed throughout Fair Park. Hungry fans can purchase their favorite food items from their cars. The drive-thru is designed for people to stay in their vehicles and enjoy the food at home. Vendors and menu options will change weekly and will be posted on WiStateFair.com.

The drive-thru starts up July 23 and is open from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays.

The online Official Fairwear Store is open now. For a limited time, it features limited-edition 2020 Official FairWear as well as favorites from the past. You can also purchase the winning “2020 Fairtastic Poster Art Contest” poster and postcard.

Finally, while you won’t be able to wander around the Wisconsin Products Pavilion in search of the usual array of our favorite state products, you can get the Wisconsin Products Pavilion Box presented by Kwik Trip. The box will include some of the traditional favorites such as Usinger’s Famous Sausage hickory sticks, Grade A Montmorency Door County dried tart cherries, and sea turtle pecan fudge bars from Sherwood’s Fabulous Fudge, along with many others.

The State Fair previously had announced Cream Puff drive-thrus and deliveries.
